It tastes the same or better to me than US milk. Lately I've been getting raw milk straight from a farm and it's delicious. You can even wait a few hours for the cream to separate and skim it off to have a lower fat version.Tanya Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13913356411257627601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33066213.post-34465081308807650672009-03-01T10:19:00.000+01:002009-03-01T10:19:00.000+01:00Glad you enjoyed the article and have now made pea...Glad you enjoyed the article and have now made peace with Swiss milk :)Chantalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08116587046045234305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33066213.post-17597178576904143542009-02-28T22:33:00.000+01:002009-02-28T22:33:00.000+01:00i loved your article on milk - so fun and SO true ...i loved your article on milk - so fun and SO true ! i am from new york, now living in zurich. used to good ole skim milk ! i was a bit bothered that i'd have to resort to weight watchers products (at Coop) to have my fill. but alas, i've since gotten over it, and regularly buy the big bottles so i can enjoy a tall cold glass -- to go with my cookies, of course.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33066213.post-91712560375312995742009-02-27T21:47:00.000+01:002009-02-27T21:47:00.000+01:00I write the "Expat Encyclopedia" part of the sideb...I write the "Expat Encyclopedia" part of the sidebar. You have bemoaned the lack of cheddar before....

Interestingly enough, although I've had ice cream almost every day in Thailand, cheese is elusive. In fact, the prices of everything were as shocking as the milk in boxes!Chantalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08116587046045234305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33066213.post-65390832003306609482009-02-25T11:02:00.000+01:002009-02-25T11:02:00.000+01:00oh yea, the milk definitely took some adjusting to...oh yea, the milk definitely took some adjusting to. that and eggs. so weird!mrsmachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09490199234876752380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33066213.post-49784053028527755102009-02-25T10:06:00.000+01:002009-02-25T10:06:00.000+01:00Thanks for the milk recommendations, glad to hear ...Thanks for the milk recommendations, glad to hear you seem to have found peace with the dairy here.Chantalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08116587046045234305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33066213.post-49842642395702988232009-02-24T21:25:00.000+01:002009-02-24T21:25:00.000+01:00Hey dude! I only drink it when it's masked by a Nespresso capsule. (I have never tried or even seen "Magermilch".) As for drinking milk straight out of the glass, we like Coop's "Drink" or M Drink from Migros, both are partially skimmed milk. I, too, am used to 1% or at the most 2%. But I find the 2.5% here tastes like what I used to have with cookies back home. Or maybe this is just a sign of our assimilation...Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03053020814428192067noreply@blogger.com
