Only in Switzerland, Part III

I was in the grocery store this week. The woman in front of me bought a bottle of grape juice. She paid for it with a CHF 1,000 bill ($1,136).

Awesome! This is one of my favorite things about Switzerland. I was so confused when I was in Germany and the storekeeper complained when I tried to pay for my 8euro lunch with a 20euro bill. That would never happen in Switzerland!

They are horrible about making change in France too. The cashiers act like it's your job to have exact change...

Well, that was probably the smallest note that lady has ever had :D

OMG Unbelievable...I have yet to see that one. But yes, as you know Switzerland is a country filled with people that carry 100 franc notes as pocket change.

Well, this is fitting: Switzerland still has the richest residents in the world:

Wow! I went to a cafe in Australia yesterday - bought 3 coffees for $12, handed them a $50 note and they sent me away without my coffee because I didn't give them small enough change!
