Thanks to all who left comments about How to Save Money in Switzerland. Click here for Part Two. Read about my favorite flea markets and second-hand stores as well as the way Migros takes their budget brand just a little too far.

If you've been living here three years, you probably know the brand Dar-vida, that makes the cracker-like sesame thingies? If you buy the coop ones, not the Prix Garantie, just the regular coop brand, "exclusivité coop", it comes in a green pack and is of course cheaper than dar-vida's... You know what's engraved in these ones (or at least was the last time I checked)?

dar-vida.

Yup, same product, they didn't even bother to produce a non-brand-engraved version.

Just a little story that your budget crackers comment made me think of.

Thanks for sharing about the crackers :)

Glad the tips are helping. I'll be sure to think of more...like today's the flea market in Baden!
